Does anyone here know how I can cut Kydex without cutting off my finger? I have this Micra keeper, and I want to put a split ring on the grommet, but the Kydex around the grommet is too wide. I need to cut it down. 1mm outside of the grommet would be good. When I put a split ring on this, it gets stretched. I want it to spring back to its original shape when it’s on.

The space around the grommet on the empty keeper is perfect. That’s not even 1mm, but I don’t want to compromise the integrity of the Kydex.
