The guys group at my church is having our next get together in a couple weeks. We get together, talk hobbies, life, faith, etc….and eat some food. Generally the group is 8 to 10 people.

Each month is a different theme…this month being BYOK or Bring Your Own Knife…to which I immediately fell in love with being the knife nut I am.

To be clear, my church is full of hunters and shooting sport fans, myself included, but I’m pretty much the only serious “knife guy”.

My collection is small but sharp (leek, dragonfly 2, CS Voyager med, tenacious, delica 4, manix 2 lw, a couple walmart cheapies, a ganzo, and a crkt neck knife.)

Now, today I find out the plan is to bring some food and eat using only your knife….a very guy thing to do no doubt.

I dont know how dull everyone elses knives must be, but theres no way in heckfire I’m putting one of my actual sharp knives in my mouth!

I’ll cut up my portions and use my fingers, thank you very much!

Not to mention I was asked to bring a few extra of my knives for others who might not have one, to which my immediate thought went to the walmart cheapies, but I’ve sharpened those to hair popping even.

Anyhow, it should be a great time and I’ll post any bloody mouth pictures I get!
