Going through the materials for my EMT-B refresher and it looks like the NREMT has changed the standard for uncontrolled bleeding of an extremity to include application of a tourniquet.

Who here carries a tourniquet in their FAK or car kit and what type do you carry? Since I’m being trained on their application and use and it’s within my scope of care, I figure I’ll include one in my FAK or car kit now. Any suggestions for type? I see a lot out there, from the Israeli bandage (not really a tourniquet, but can be used like one), to the SWAT-T, the C-A-T, and the SOFFT.
