My current carry setup is a Glock 19 with a kydex, IWB holster that I carry at the 3:30 / 4 o’clock position. This is fine for the majority of situations I’m in.
However, I’m looking into an alternative “deep” carry system – something along the lines of a shoulder holster / U.S. Marshal’s rig beneath an over-sized long-sleeved shirt that is a little friendlier to sitting for long periods of time. I am firearm-agnostic on this – I’m looking for whatever might fit this need from a practical standpoint. It doesn’t have to be my Glock (I’d rather use something smaller than the Glock 19, to be honest). I will say that I’m not a fan of external safeties on my handguns, but am willing to adapt to what works.
Any of you out there have first-hand experience with this type of setup, or faced this problem? I’ll probably get comments along the lines of “Well, you just have to know how to move with your firearm IWB, no bending over, etc” – yeah, I get all that, and I live all that but I want another option.
All constructive feedback is appreciated!
