Well it finally happened…I went out to the store and bought the cheapest shotgun they had in stock. Came home with a Mossberg 500 12 gauge. I would assume that the gun has to be at least 30 years old (older than I am) and it has surface rust all over it, the wood is dinged up, but I’ve already taken a liking to the thing.
Its a 28″ barrel with a modified choke. My question is…Would you fire this thing? I’m new to shotguns and picked this up because it was cheap and I want to go shoot things. I’m just wondering with its age and wear, if its going to blow up on me or not. I’ll get some pictures up.
I just oiled it up and scrubbed off the smiley face that was drawn on it. I want to use this shotgun to shoot some birds and squirrels this Fall.
