Due to Texas law, and the castle doctrine, I can carry my firearm concealed in my vehicle without a CHL license, I haven’t gotten my CHL yet, so this is how I carry my firearm.

My question to you is what do you carry, and what kind of ammunition do you carry in yours? Please keep this about 9mm, as that is the only handgun I own at the moment.

Currently I carry a S&W Sigma SW9VE with an upgraded 5lb trigger (Factory is 10-11lbs), stainless steel guide rod, and 22lb recoil spring. The ammunition is just your standard 115gr target loads with brass casings.

I would like to get some defensive ammo just for carry, but would like to know what is my best option for A) best and cheapest, B) best and expensive.
