It has been many years since my WEMT training and I am wondering what the current recommended treatment is for venomous snake bite. It changed a couple of times during the years I was frequently taking groups outdoors; the Extractor was recommended for a while, then a simple lymph constrictor…

I’ll be chaperoning a group of 7th graders in Joshua Tree next week, so figured it would be worth checking up on. I have been frequenting the Monument for almost 20 years and have only ever seen one snake, but you never know.
