While restocking my FAK I asked the pharmacist if a triple antibiotic like Neosporin was suitable for both cuts and burns. He replied yes but recommended the creme version if my intent was to handle burns as well. He was very busy so I let him return to his other customers and I didn’t get to ask why the creme was better than the ointment. Can anybody expand on this?

If it matters the burns I’m trying to be prepared for are minor burns while camping.
