I consider myself a minimalist EDC’er (forgive the lack of posts here. Have mostly been lurking, but will find some free time to be more active).

Regardless, I’m looking for a new light to meet the following criteria…

    1. Built-in belt clip. Im looking to carry it besides my Leatherman
    2. Size: approx the same size as a Leatherman Skeletool (but I’m flexible if the length or Dia is slightly different).
    3. Battery: common AA or AAA. I do not know much about the rechargeable’s, but definitely interested if within the price range.
    4. Price: try to stay under $50 USD
    5) Modes: it would be nice to have a light with H-M-L, strobes & others nice but not necessary. The key here is ease of use with the modes. I have a Coleman with a rear clicker that cycles H-L-OFF, with three clicks respectively. I use it for work. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve felt my pocket get warm, only to find I clicked once from high and put it on low, instead of off.
    6. Def would want a clicker, preferable in the rear. I think I may have heard of some out there that have a rear click, but twist to switch between modes? That may be ideal! (Twist to desired mode, click to toggle on/off).
    7. Material: no preference, as long as its light & durable.
    8. Black, grey, gunmetal, or bare. No colors, please.

I know this may be pushing it, but I have a cheap-o from the hardware store. Single brightness mode, but an auxiliary button for a laser pointer. So that option (which I’m sure is pushing it) would be a cool added bonus!

Thanks in advance for your feedback. I look forward to hearing feedback from the experts! Also, look forward into becoming more active in this great forum!
