So, I’ve been eyeballing the Fenix PD35 TAC for a good while now, even going so far as ordering an Oveready 18650 Delrin Capsule and Monroe Dangler to carry the spare battery for it. Today I discovered the Nitecore P12, which is essentially the same thing but with a few different features. I’ve watched a couple of youtube videos comparing these exact models but one thing is missing from my research: comparison of build quality (material thickness and rigidity, quality of o-seals, thread/machining accuracy, etc) and resilience of the coating (likeliness to peel/flake/rub).
Does anyone have either or both of these models (even comparable Fenix & Nitecore models)? Could you shed some light on the characteristics I mentioned above? Again, I’m primarily curious about build quality and the fit & finish at this point, as most of my other questions and concerns have been addressed in prior research.
Thank you for your time!
