KeymasterHi guys and girls!
this is my first review…… EVER. so please be nice, any tips would be great.
So i bought this bag from the states, as i have been looking for something i can take to uni and into the bush that is smaller than a full size backpack but can still carry all the essentials from day to day (minus a laptop). Although the G.T.G is quite small it can still fit a ipad mini quite comfortably.
The pack is made from 800-denier nylon, so it is quite scuff and scratch resistant, and has a teflon fabric protector and triple polyurethane coating for great water resistance. Full specs on website
IMG_3035 by sharpkona, on Flickri dig the colour of this pack in the desert tan, khaki, coyote etc. It is nice and subdued in the environment im in in Australia, but still semi “tactical” looking in an urban environment. Seeing that ill be using it 50-50 in each environment im not too fussed.

IMG_3049 by sharpkona, on FlickrThe pack has a very comfortable back and strap with adequate padding which is breathable, and a belt loop if your into that. (it is useful when im on my bike). It rides on the hip/back nicely and stays in place nicely when walking around. i found that if your riding a bike, you need to incorporate the belt loop as the pack will swing to the front and get awkward.

IMG_3050 by sharpkona, on FlickrThe pack holds a lot of gear with multiple pockets with YKK zippers and a concealed carry pocket with a paracord pull. The water bottle holder has a cord sinch up as well, but i dont think it is paracord. Due to living in Australia concealed carry is COMPLETELY out of the question, but it can fit a slingshot for fun
. At the moment i just store a benchmade rescue hook 5 that transfers from the bag to my SES uniform, and a PPE mask incase
etc.

IMG_3043 by sharpkona, on Flickrthe pack also has these nifty hook and loop areas for all your patch fun!
IMG_3045 by sharpkona, on FlickrTo test out the waterproofness of the pack i took out all the medical stuff that can get ruined, and threw it straight into a dirty old puddle. The pack performed great and most of the contents of the pack stayed dry. The main compartment collected a fair bit of water but the drainage hole at the bottom of the main compartment drained it nicely

IMG_3056 by sharpkona, on Flickrjust for fun i included a photo of the great leatherman skeletool. As most of you are aware Australia’s knife laws suck so i decided to go with this as i can classify it as a tool.
IMG_3052 by sharpkona, on FlickrSo, overall i love this pack, its tough as nails , it performs great, and is an excellent option for someone that just wants to carry the bear essentials. If you live somewhere where concealed carry is a viable option this pack would be an excellent choice for those that don’t want to carry their weapon directly on their person. Thanks for reading!
