I’m looking for the smallest NOAA radio I can get my hands on- if it has AM/FM, that’s a bonus. Im looking for something like iPod Nano size, or maybe slightly larger. I already have 2 crank radios, one that I keep in my home and one in my BOB. This one would just be to stash in my EDC bag with a pair of headphones so that if I end up caught out in something, I can tune in and know what’s going on. Battery operated is fine.
It seems most available NOAA’s have speakers built in, which contributes to the larger form factor on most if them. Also, most of them have crank power abilities, which also adds volume. I would prefer NOT to have these capabilities in order to reduce the size. Looks like the Kaito is the smallest I’ve come across, but I’m curious to see if there’s anything even smaller.
