My Surefire D2 has never once let me down, but it’s a bit big for the bag pocket I want to carry it in. I’ve looked at a couple reviews of EDC flashlights, but it seems like everyone’s gaga over how many “modes” a light has and how microscopic it can be. I don’t care about any of that noise.

Here’s what I want:
– Metal body
– AA or CR123 power, but leaning towards AA because of availability and size
– Pocket clip
– Clicky tailcap button with momentary on
– No adjustable focus
– Max of three brightness levels and no blink mode
– NO MODE SELECTION ON THE TAILCAP BUTTON. The light must go on with one click of the tailcap and off with another, every time, without exception.
– No decoration or non-functional machining. The McGizmo is the opposite of what I’m looking for.

So, does this thing exist?
