15 rds of .45 ACP. Ambidextrous controls. A light polymer frame. But is it as impressive as it seems? Here’s my review.
For what you get, it seems hard to beat.
The ergonomics are fantastic. The capacity is nice. It’s really not too heavy. It comes with three mags with a 15rd capacity. However, that’s all subjective. Maybe it doesn’t fit some people’s hands. Fits mine perfectly. Maybe the texture is aggressive. I like a good grip. Maybe the slide release is a little tiny. I’m pretty coordinated. It’s a niche pistol. A fighting pistol. It isn’t meant for baby hands. It fills a role and does it well.

    The bad.
Perhaps my only true complaint is how much it beats itself up. The finish is garbage. If finish is something you’re concerned about, go ahead and get it cerakoted or whatever suits you.
Additionally, it leaves scratches on cartridge casings. To illustrate, pop a full mag in your gun. Pull the slide back and lock it to the rear(don’t cycle it, just lock it back). Pop the mag out. Take a look at the top round. You’ve got yourself a nice scratch. Is it a problem? No idea. Lots of brass can build up inside. I can run my finger on the inside and pick up quite a bit of residue.
The trigger itself is hollow. If you get any kind of residue buildup in there, it will be hard to clean without taking the trigger out and dissassembling the mechanism. It might stink. It isn’t really a big deal, but it is something to consider.
The polymer itself may get rather worn in certain areas. Is it a problem? No idea. Probably not. The magazine well scratches mags. Not a problem, but a bit disappointing.
Holster availabilty is virtually null, as is pretty much any aftermarket accessories for it. Good luck. I use an old Crosman airsoft holster I’ve had for a decade, since I was a kid. Poor retention, but it fits pretty much any fullsize pistol and I only open carry. I may get a Safariland, but I’m not made of money and they’re absurdly confusing when it comes to what will fit and what won’t.
Slide release lever could be bigger. It is similar to a Glock slide release in size. Not really that hard to manipulate, though, so I don’t mind.
There’s basically only two inches of frame rails. Probably not an issue, but dirt can get in easily.
For the bad, in closing, I say that for such an overbuilt gun, I wish it had full length rails and a bigger slide release lever. Fit and finish is basically horrible. Luckily, it’s really the only issue. Everything else is fantastic. More on that next.
    The good.
This firearm is full of features. High capacity, changeable backstrap, ambidextrous controls, nice trigger, 1913 rail, nice slide serrations, great texturing, easy to take down to clean, points naturally. It has potential. Everything is beefy, in a good way. The mag release is huge, but not obtrusive. The saftey is decently sized and works well. The grip is large, but fits well(I wear a medium in mechanix gloves, which fit perfectly, if that helps at all) and the texturing works well. Nice trigger reset, and I like the heavy double action trigger and the light single followup.
Magazines drop free easily. The controls are easy to use. The frame, though polymer, is sturdy. For a doublestack .45, it is light. The width isn’t as bad as you might think, and isn’t as blocky as it may appear.
Overall, it seems to be a great pistol. It’s easy to nitpick, but I can’t really complain. When I have more experience shooting it, I will feel more comfortable providing my assessment on its performance in that regard.
