this is my current EDC FAK. I’m basically looking for any tips, suggestions or criticisms of my current kit.
N.B. I only have basic first aid qualifications, so I’m looking for a basic kit in line with that.first, the whole kit, as it stands today:

moving in colums from left-right
alcohol hand gel, trauma shears – both of these are stored seperately, due to thier multi-purpose nature
nitrile gloves – note duct tape tabs, to facilitiate donning and removal
pouch – black belt pouch made by “viper”. tape red cross is tempory, awaiting proper sewn on FAK badge
assorted plasters (band-aids)
anti-septic swabs – alcohol free
“plaster tape” (imagine a long band aid that can be cut to size)
Isreli trauma bandage – outer pouch removed, inner pouch has duct tape tabs to facilitate opening
mini first aid manual – more as an aid-memoire than anything.when packed:

the gloves go on top of everything else, to help remind me to put them on when needed
http://i1021.photobucket.com/albums/af338/phaserrifle/2012-02-14160710.jpgI also carry a couple more sets of nitrile gloves, primarily for dealing with dirty jobs, and for use when doing my crime scene university modules, since the gloves they have only come in “can’t fit your hand in small” and “plastic carrier bag on your hand XXL”, but they could be pressed into first aid service if needed.
