Been having a crummy week thus far, so figured I’d share…

Went out to shovel snow last night. As I was going up the steps to go back inside, I was thinking to myself “What the heck am I tripping over?”. Turned out to be the soles of my insulated, waterproof boots.

Yep, both failed at the same time. They’re Timberland. Bought in November of 2014, worn a couple of weeks at work while we were stuck in the single-digit temps, saw a modest amount of snow removal duty. Tooks them out of the closet a few days ago when the temperature started to drop again. In other words, not a lot of use.

I could never remember if it was Timberland or Wolverine that I had been reading bad things about in this forum. Pretty sure I won’t be forgetting from now on.

I’ve got other Wolverine shoes and boots. They haven’t given me any trouble. My daily footgear is RedWing Wellington-style boots. Those have smooth soles so I don’t usually wear them when working outside in the snow.
