I’m not interested in having a fll first-responder kit in my bag, especially since I’m not trained or qualified to administer that kind of aid, but I do like to have a selection of first aid items in order to help myself or other with minor injuries, and possibly to control moderate to heavy bleeding until EMTs arrive. To that end, I have the following in my kit:

    Alcohol prep pads (10x)
    Antibacterial “wet wipes” (6x)
Co-adhesive bandage tape (about a half roll)
    2″ gauze squares (3x)
    3×5″ adhesive bandage (2x)
Selection of adhesive band-aid types bandages, various sizes and shapes, (2x each)

It’s a very basic kit, and more oriented towards treating minor cuts and scrapes, but there anything I could add to make it more effective for more serious wounds? I’m not planning on treating gunshot wounds or anything here, but I can add an Ace bandage and some petroleum bandages, or even some tampons, to give myself more flexibility.

    Thanks for your help!
