Having lost track of one of my favorite pairs of headphones and resorted to a “backup” pair, got me wondering…

Does anyone else keep multiple sets of headphones/earphones for different uses? Any particular preferences in brand or style, and why?

I have at minimum one pair with me at all times, usually my iPhone “EarPods” or a pair of “disposable” JVCs. (I consider any ear gear costing under £20 to be poor enough quality to be disposable!) If I have a bag with me, I will usually have a pair of Sony earbuds in a hard case and one of three different pairs of Sennheiser over-the-heads. Most of these have iPhone/iPod remote units built in, though the studio-grade ones don’t.

Am I the only one crazy enough to carry multiple different sets?  Has anyone found one particularly good “all-round” set that they believe makes all others redundant?
