I am moving cross country, and am thinking it will be simplest to fly with a few guns, rather than deal with the shipping company.

I’ve flown with pistols before, but never a rifle. I’d like a case that would take a broken down AR-15 (Bushmaster M-4 upper with 16″ barrel and muzzle brake, Quentin Defense lower) and one or two pistols, no mags or accessories.

The reason I’m spec’ing a case for the AR to be split is that I want something shorter that doesn’t advertise that it’s a rifle.

Can anyone recommend a case at a reasonable price? Pelicans that seem to fit the bill are not in the budget.

My Google-fu is failing to find anything that fits.
