KeymasterMy father seems to have “acquired” my older Midway competition range bag, so I felt like this was a great excuse to start over. I kept my muffs and a few tools and sent him on the way with the rest!
I started making a list of things that I had in that bag that were actually useful, as well as things which always seemed to be missing when I wanted them.
My range trips generally involve 1911’s and 9mm/40s, .223 ARs and 22 lrs.
I’m looking at starting over with the CED Deluxe Professional Range bag.
If anyone sees anything I am blatantly missing, please let me know.
Protection
Peltor Tactical Pro Muffs
Spare set of AA batteries
A few sets of plugs to either double up or lend if needed.
Randolph Ranger XLW Glasses (Most comfortable set i’ve ever found. I normally use light orange, but I’ve also got dark purple, light purple, light yellow and clear.) They look a bit goofier than the “cool” Rudy Project stuff, but they ride high on your nose, perfect for trap.
Small First Aid Kit (Mostly band-aids and aspirin)Tools
Chapman standard tool kit
Chapman Torx bits
Wheeler FAT wrench (Not sure if its worth carrying this thing around all the time, but it does get lent out a good bit)
Vic Swiss Tool
Zebralight SC52W
Spyderco Manix (just on the off chance, I somehow forget a knife)
Dewalt Compact Staple Gun (w/ 1/4″ and 3/8″ staples)
Glock Armorer’s ToolCleaning Supplies
Otis Professional Pistol Cleaning System
.40 Caliber Brush
Otis AR Cleaning System
Ballistol Spray
Slip 2000 EWL
Microfiber rag in ziplockMisc Items
Small Notebook
Pen
Red/Black Sharpies
Hand Sanitizer
Assorted Binder Clips (A few of each size)
Masking Tape
Small Clear Ruler
Spare CR2032 Batteries for Crimson Traces/Scopes
Striplula (Maglula Loader for .223)
UpLula (9mm-45)Missing Items-
I feel like I need to get a reasonable brass cleaning rod for squib duty if necessary.
Small portable headlamp?I was carrying tons of screw drivers and everything else before, but really the Chapman stuff has the basics, if I need more than that, I should probably do it at home anyway.
