As the title reads, what do you think about the SIG SB 15 and SB 47 Arm Braces?

When I first saw them, I thought they were ugly and would fade from the market fast.

As time has gone by, they are starting to grow on me. A friend of mine bought the SIG 516 pistol with SB 15 Arm Brace. I shot it at the range and it shoots great as a pistol and even better when you shoulder the SB 15 Brace. As most of you may already know, the ATF came out not long ago with a written letter stating that it’s legal to shoulder fire the SB 15 Arm Brace.

From what I can tell, it looks as though you lose between 10-15% of the velocity from a standard length barrel with 55 gr or 62 gr bullets.

I’ve always wanted an SBR but haven’t done so because of the extra paperwork, extra time (9 months plus wait), extra scrutiny, extra restrictions, and extra (Unconstitutional) tax. The same goes for suppressors too.

If you have an AR Pistol with an SB 15 or SB 47, please let me know what your experience has been (positive and or negative). Does it cause any malfunctions? Is it hard to shoulder for you? Does it feel slappy to your cheek?

Please post pictures of your pistols with the SIG Brace.
