So I am sitting at work, pull out my zebra f-301 that I have kept in my back pocket for the last couple of days, only to find that the threads on the plastic grip that connects the lower tip to the upper cylinder had broken and now my pen is in two parts, and no longer functions….  BLARG!

So now I am looking for a replacement, and suggestions. I have a space pen cartridge left over from another pen where the same thing happened.

Looking for:
A pen that’s tough, won’t break in my back pocket
Has few break points
A pen that can use the space pen cartridge
A pen I can find at walmart, or a grocery store on my way home.

I have heard lots of good things about the parker jotter and the space pen refill. Any experience with the plastic/colored versions vs the SS version?

Any other suggestions would be great.
