Does anybody have any experience fixing the p938/238 mainspring housing wear issue? Apparently its common enough that people know about it but not common enough that it shows up where I read about it before buying the gun. …which sucks because I really like it.

I have an idea of how to solve it, but it will require permanent modification to a $700 gun. And, no, the Hogue aluminum MSHs are not a solution, at least not by themselves. On mine, it wears faster than the stock plastic.
