Hi,
Ive got two “versipacks” and three “two-shoulder-strap backpacks” (UTG Jumbo clone, Rapdom T311 Messenger bag, 20 litre MOLLE bag “Tactical Pro 20 III”, 35 litre camera bag “Kata DR-i467” and a 50 litre hiking bag Willard Birch). I like both of them types but for carrying a little more stuff the two-shoulder-strap packs are far more convenient than the versipacks of course.
My question: how convenient is it to use a sling (one-shoulder-strap) backpack? I suppose it would be somewhere between the two mentioned – but how much better than those versipacks? Im talking about a EDC one-strap sling bag, usable also as a one-day hiking bag from time to time, say 20-25 litres, imagine something like Maxpedition Kodiak.
As for the Kodiak – are pens, pencils etc. falling out from their positions when the bag is on the persons back (ie. the pens are not in vertical but horizontal position)? EDIT: I had it mixed up with another bag. Kodiak seems to have no pen holders …
PS: This sling backpacks came to my attention because of the game The Division – all the agents are using those all the time and Im thinking ones shoulder must be aching from the constant weight …
