The 45 acp / 9mm debate aside –

Does anyone have any experience and/or suggestions on a 1911 in 9mm. I am looking for something preferably in a commander size (4 inch). My wife has been eyeballing my Kimber in 45acp but, upon shooting several times it we think a 9mm might be a little better for her (recoil, follow up shots and etc.).
