I just thought I would post a quick review of the 5.11 Gear Kit used as a First Aid Kit.
These are small bags intended to be used for toiletries, but I decided to try them out for a FAK. Turns out they are perfect! They are made out of heavy duty nylon with big chunky zippers. They are compact but because of how the top opens they hold a LOT of stuff. I put similar items in ziploc bags for organization.
I keep one of these in each car.
This shows how it expands open:
And here are the contents:
The large ziplock bag has various dressings such as large abdominal gauze pads, various size gauze rolls, 4×4 gauze pads, and some blood blocker kits. Much of this I would have used IBDs instead had I known about them when I built the kits.

Small ziplock full of alcohol pads and antiseptic wipes
GSW kit (IBD, nasopharyngeal airway, needle catheter)
Ace wrap
Self adhesive wrap
