First post here, but long time lurker!

I work in documentary television and spend a lot of time on the road in some pretty rough locations. Recently, I’ve lost a lot of weight so my tough rugged gear no longer fits me!

And now I’ve just been told that I’m going to be heading on the road for 7 weeks straight (Louisiana, Texas, Florida) and will probably get a clothing budget of $500-1000, so what a perfect opportunity to purchase all new clothing!

Besides my field of work I’m also an avid shooter and camper so I might as well get gear that can be used across the bored. I’m Canadian so I’ve usually just made trips to MEC but now I’m getting really into the styles of TAD, Arc’teryx, 5.11 etc. I guess you can say I’m looking for tactical but also practical!

So I’m curious to know the opinions here. If you had to purchase 7 weeks of clothing for the road what you grab? I’m looking for new everything: shirts, pants, jackets, boots, pack, hat, whatever you can think of!
