Adding straps to bottom of Rush 12 using drain holes

Has anyone done this? I bought a Rush 12 and I was in the situation where I was at a theme park during the day when it was too warm for a jacket. But at night it was too cold without one. So I carried my jacked until it was cold.

I would have liked to strap my jacket to the bottom of the Rush 12 until I needed it.

Has anyone done this? Any one have ingenious ways of doing it?
