Ajoto Twist Pen (YAK P…)

While checking out the google search of kickstarter pens – j.mp/Pens_ks – I noticed the “Make Your Mark: The Pen With A Twist by Ajoto”: j.mp/AjotoTwistPen_ks

This one comes with a few “customization” options – with a clear or black anodized finish for an aluminum barrel or a clear finish on a brass barrel, the same finishes and materials for the twist top, a choice of aluminum box with a clear or matte black finish, and two options for the Parker-style refill (0.7mm or fine point), which they got customized from their German manufacturing partner, and the options look like so… They’re outta London, and the first pledge level for a pen converts to < $100.

I thought it was a pretty clean design, but not sure what to think of some of the extra details they might’ve incorporated (like if the boxes look like what’s shown there, then I’d rather see it less decorated), but that’s probably just me. I sorta like when products are sorta “sterilized” with not a lotta (superfluous, imo) decorations (or logos or etchings or whatever) when there isn’t a lot of reasoning or thinking behind it.

Anyway, whatcha think of it? Are ya probably just thinking it’s yet another kickstarter pen (or yak p)?  Was thinking of other acronyms which kinda sound funny as well – YAK BO (for yet another kickstarter bottle opener) and YAK T (for tools – I doubt anyone ever brews a yak to make a drink, however…).
