And now, my second gun! S&W Model 64

Ah, all my saving and planning has finally paid off. Got to the gunshow today and I managed to get one of the last decent pistols that wasn’t nailed down(or $500+). Heard a few dealers tell me they sold ALOT of stuff yesterday, but I managed to get away with a used police issue in great shape, Smith and Wesson Model 64 .38. I had planned on going .357 this whole time, but a last minute conversation with a dealer gave me his opinion that those .357 rounds might be a bit much for what I’m looking for. As in, they’ll go through someone and into someone or something else. And that .38 Glaser defense rounds will give me all the kinetic stopping power I’d probably need.
Plus, I wanted to skip over the Taurus revolvers, and ‘go for the gold’ if I could. There was a Taurus .357 for $150, that I could have gone with, but I’m not even looking back.
After all fees and tax, it was $333, which left me enough money for a few boxes of ammo.
I am super excited, I’ll be dancing for the next 12 days until it clears.

And speaking of gun shows, is it just me or are 80% of the dealers there real turds? I got treated with a real lack of interest or respect as a customer. Not trying to be controversial, but half the dealers don’t seem to care who’s standing in front of them, whether they’re waving cash under their nose or not. I guess it’s such a seller’s market, they can afford an air of disinterest.
