Have been pocket carrying a ZT 0770CF the past eight months. It’s easily the best EDC knife I’ve ever owned. Super light, fast deployment, great steel….but…there’s stuff I need to cut that honestly the ZT is too nice for. I’m not willing to abuse it, at times.

Looked around for ideas to carry an under-used ESEE Candiru that was part of a piggy-back sheath project from last year. Posted it here on EDCF back in March of 2015.

Played with several designs and came up with this one in brown kydex with a small tec lok.

It’s a pretty small package – so light it’s forgotten. Can also worn as a necker or attached to gear.

The draw is a lift and pull using the thumb to find the hold.

It’s surprising how efficient and natural the draw motion is vs lifting a clipped knife out of pocket. Obviously, this carry method is not ideal for all circumstances but around the property and out in the woods it’s been fun.

Anyone else carrying a small fixed blade horizonally? Looking for other ideas, thoughts and solutions. Not sure how many “off the shelf” knives even come with this type of sheath.

For you guys that have experience, better to cross draw into the center or same side draw backwards?

    Thanks for looking!
