Anyone ever Waxed a Jacket?

Hey all.

It’s getting too rainy here in NW Florida and my Canvas Carhartt soaks to me shoulders immediately.

I tried silicone spray with no avail, not sure if it’s the brand but even with 3 applications water soaks through.

So has anyone ever Waxed a jacket?

I don’t mind the look, I’m worried about the consequences. For example, If I sit in a leather chair, will I stick?

If I stand near a fire, will the wax drip out?

Should I upgrade to oilskin? (Recomend me a brand as well)
