I plan on getting one of the Ares Aegis belts next pay day.
My current work belt is a Gould and Goodrich leather gun belt that I’ve had for about six years that is getting torn up. The hole that I usually use has ripped to the next looser one so I’ve had to go one tighter. I think it is mainly from being leather and getting wet. I work in a restaurant and it’s inevitble.
Is there much of difference between the original Aegis and the enhanced version? Will either one be stiff enough for a 1911 and pair of spare mags? I carry both iwb and owb on occasion.
