Attention EDCF members: Please review the Members Rules and Forum Etiquette
EDCF provides a friendly and welcoming environment for sharing our love of EDC and preparedness and encourages discussion; however, the forums are not “chat rooms.” Please make sure that what you post actually contributes to the discussion of the topic in a thread.
- Do not wander off topic and engage in running conversations unrelated to a thread’s topic. If you want to know what is going on in a member’s life, message him/her. If you want to wish someone happy birthday/anniversary/divorce/graduation, message him/her, or if absolutely necessary, start a thread in the breakroom…and stay on topic.
- Do not bait, troll, or flame, and should you be on the receiving end of such unacceptable behavior, report it to staff instead of engaging that person publicly in the forum. Engage your personal IGNORE button.
- Please do not start threads that have the obvious potential to turn political, religious, or confrontational. Just don’t.
- Don’t respond to threads with emoji or one-word replies or off-topic responses just to pad your post count. Seriously, forum membership is not a competition. No prizes are awarded for the highest number of posts or likes.
Just play nice. And should you have any questions, please contact a member of staff.
