OK so I am yet to make my mind up on my next flashlight and I need some external input! My requirements for a new light are as follows…
- Small enough to EDC
- Decent pocket clip
- High output (800-1000 lm)
- Decent spacing between modes
- Blinking mode – need beacon mode but not too fussed about a decent strobe
- Run on 18650 ideally
- Can tail stand (important as I will also use with a diffuser as a lamp when camping)
- Ideally no more than £50-60 ($80-$100).
Have considered….Thrunite TN12 (2014), Zebralight SC62, Nitecore P12 and have just looked at the Olight S30R baton which I am not sure is out yet? Can’t find it in the UK anyway. Thrunite appeals from a cost perspective, and seeing as I will soon be the sole earner in our family that is an important factor! Doesn’t have a beacon mode though…
Any help is appreciated, although fully expecting the decision making process to be made more difficult with the options and expertise you guys throw at me as well!
