KeymasterI have the black Go Puck power bank, and can’t say enough good things about it. It charges my phone fully at least a couple of times, and it does it very quickly. It’s rubberized on the outside, and comes with a clip thing that lets you attach it to bags, etc. It was $99 if I recall correctly.

KeymasterFor the flashlight folks: I recommend Soshine powerbank. Works with 1 or 2 18650 cells, so you can take one out if your light runs dry and still use the powerbank with the other cell left. Also you can charge your 18650 cells on the go (if you’re travelling, etc.).

KeymasterI love Anker products as well. The one I carry daily is the Astro 6700mAh, which holds two 18650 batteries. It is small enough for pocket carry, but best in a bag.

KeymasterAnker PowerCore 10000 with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. Two and a bit fast charges for my Nexus 6.
I’ve had a few Anker devices and (so far) have no complaints at all.

KeymasterYet another vote for Anker. Don’t spring for the Qualcomm Quick Charge unless you have a Droid device that supports it, though. I have several, they all work as advertised!

KeymasterI just purchased an Anker PowerCore II 20000
It’s an amazing product and I like the capability to charge 3 devices simultaneously at full power.
It also has 2 input ports to fully charge in about 6 hours.

KeymasterNothing but good things for anker and they regularly go on sale if you keep an eye on kinja or
newer ones support the higher output needed for fast charging on smaller devices and even some of the newer usb c laptops/chromebooks

KeymasterI’ve had really good use of the Rav Power packs. Now have couple of Anker and use Anti Gravity for the cars and bikes. All have worked flawlessly.

KeymasterHonestly the best battery backup will be… a backup battery. Swap em when needed, no charging time and no power losses so the ultimate mAh for the size. Only downside is that you will have to turn your device off and lots of current phones don’t allow battery swaps.
Other than that like everything in life ‘best’ depends on what you want and need. For me powerbanks that run on 18650s are pretty great because i carry those around anyhow.

KeymasterMy variety of different power banks, distributed around the house in case of a power outage and in various bags, loadouts, etc. My new favorite for EDC in my EDC laptop bag is the Anker PowerCore Fusion 5000 2-in-1 Portable Charger and Wall Charger, AC Plug with 5000mAh Capacity. Good capacity for my iPhone 7 or iPad Air, has its own folding built-in AC plug to recharge and be used as a pass-through AC-USB charger. Anker is by far my favorite brand.

KeymasterAnyone found a good cheap eBay one? I’d guess that they are all made in China at the end of the day but buying an unbranded one could be a bit of a gamble.
