KeymasterI’ve been using for some time the 10,000 mAh Trust, it was pretty cheap and never failed me so far

KeymasterFollowing my search for a powerbank with replaceable 18650s, I settled on a Anker Powercore 13000 which does not allow removal but is otherwise great, and complemented it with a Nitecore MH20 which provides a recharging input for its single 18650, and with an Olight charging cable that has two stethoscope syle contacts for USB charging of almost any kind of single cell. Taken together I’ve got USB charging covered. Now I just need one of those solar panels….

KeymasterDid anyone mention that Anker makes great products?:rofl: I am not sure that brand was mentioned..
I also have the Outdoor Tech Kodiak Plus GTD and its smaller kin. I think they have both been replaced by more recent models. What I like about them is that they are waterproof (IP67) and glow in the dark… which is practical on my motorcycle.September 29, 2025 at 11:50 am #27988admin
KeymasterMy motorcycle is super special, it came with a battery already built in! It charges my phone, navigation and other devices just fine…

KeymasterYou’re special too…

Keymasterjoining the Anker chorus: I’ve used Anker for years and have never been let down. Currently carrying an Astro E4 13000mAh in my EDC bag. I have also adopted Anker braided cables, USB wall chargers, and USB car chargers in place of all default manufacturer accessories. They are far more durable and more importantly cheaper than what Apple or Samsung wants to sell you. My other half carries an Astro Mini (lipstick-sized) battery in her bag as well. We are big fans of Anker and are never left wanting.

KeymasterQuietconundrum,
I agree with you 100%. Anker makes superior products in my estimation. I recently bought a few of their PowerLine II Dura cables (various lengths). they are of a MUCH better construction when compared to Apple factory cables.
I own one of their USB battery chargers (the model # escapes me at the moment), as well as one of their 60W 6-port USB Charger, a 5-port 40W USB charger that my daughter uses, and a Lightening to Gigabit ethernet adapter w/ 3 USB 3.0 ports adapter.
Great stuff!

KeymasterI have a cheap ravpower battery bank from amazon. 16500 mah, can charge devices whole being charged (great feature).
I think it was $40 at the time I got it, there’s bigger ones now and cheaper.
It’s been over a year since since I’ve had it, way better than the other ones I have.

KeymasterGood point, @smokingfish — I used Ravpower before I discovered Anker and it, too, was a reliable battery pack. In my experience, it seemed to drain a bit quicker and get a bit more warm-to-the-touch than the Ankers I have though. Granted, that was years ago and I’m sure Rav’s tech has improved just like everyone else’s.

KeymasterI love my ravpower way more than my anker.
It somehow charges my devices faster than the anker.
Plus you can’t charge things on the anker while itself is being charged, that feature is useful to me.September 29, 2025 at 11:52 am #28009admin
KeymasterAh, never had that situation come up. If I’m using my Anker, it is in a situation where I don’t have an outlet. Good to know though, thanks!

KeymasterI wish I could burn every single cheap gas station charger/cable that you find in those plastic bubble containers. I hate ’em ; )

KeymasterAnker above 5k mAh capacity paired with a wireless charger, if your phone supports wireless charging. No more fumbling with cables, just put the phone on the charging puck and watch it charge. Some pucks even support fast wireless charging.

I really love this idea but the efficiency is holding me back. It just feels so pointless to me to carry very a big bulky pack if only half of the actual energy is being put to good use. In that case i rather carry a pack half the size and a cable… -
