Thought I’d re-post this here for anyone that didn’t get to see it in my EDC progression thread.

All in all this is a fast easy mod.
The thickness of a Wave bit driver is exactly what the stock Wingman drivers are together, adding the spacer that is included and its a great fit. And the back spring lock up is PERFECT with no mods!! There are a couple problems though that need fixing(and I’m 95% sure they can be fixed! Although, one is more asthetic than function and I’m not bothering to fix it… see below.)
    • The pliers tip catches on the opening notch when closing the tool,
    • and the driver doesn’t seat deep enough to allow the tool to fully close. But there is a LOT of space under the driver to the frame for most of its length, and a fair amount of ”kick” to be filed to drop it down some.

Now, the reason I usually want a multi mod to allow the tool to close all the way, is that if it doesn’t, it doesn’t ”click” closed, and it can then be pulled open or fall open easier in pocket… But since the pliers on the Wingman are spring loaded and hold the tool closed rather well, I’m not really worried about the gap. Doubt I’ll bother trying to fix that. But I will round off the pull open notch to get the pliers tips to clear it when closing.
The downside is that this driver is on loan from my Wave mod… So I gotta come up with another Wave driver to put in the Wingman permanently. ;)
