So, I’ve always been a faithful 5.11 wearer, but I ordered some of the Blackhawk Lite Tactical Shorts recently. (5.11 doesn’t make the TacLite shorts for fat guys like me.) The Blackhawk shorts came in today, and as much as I hate to say it, I might be a convert. First of all, the quality seems to be top-notch, which is not surprising from Blackhawk. There are several extra pockets as compared to the TacLites, and they are in useful places. Several are zippered, and the placement doesn’t add too much bulk. The cargo pockets also have 2″ webbing stitched inside. The waistband even has a silicone strip on the inside to help keep your shirt tucked in. Oh, and both of the front magazine pockets are flapped. As much as I love my 5.11s, if these keep working out, I might just have to order some of the pants too.
