I am lying in the recovery room after a vnus closure. The patient before me, a male aged 72 had the same procedure. He gets up to use the bathroom, and starts bleeding. The staff can’t get it to stop. They end up with the entire OR staff there, plus two doctors. Guy bled out so much they had to get a mop and bucket! I’m lying there thinking to myself “go out in my car, get my EDC bag, and put on a 4-inch Isreali trauma bandage. Done.” The staff took about 15 minutes fussing with ABD pads and pressure…
