I have a nice small Sony Mini-DV video camera, and while I cant really complain about its performance and vid quality,
I can complain about the time and effort it takes to dump down the videos.
I hate having to dump down the video segments in real time.
I want something that is setup like a digital cameras video, just dump it off via USB.
My Canon G9 takes great video, and dumps off the camera great, but it will not zoom while taking the video
Basically, I want something that uses a hard drive, or SD cards, that will record at least 640 res at 30 frames a second.
And has some decent optical zoom, and good battery life, for under $500.
I am torn between the Hard drive and flash mem ones,
I would think that the hard drive ones would not like vibrations, some of its use will be mounted on the dash of my Jeep for onboard video.
Plus I would think the flash mem ones would get better battery life.
Any recommendations? Thanks
