I wasn’t real sure where to post this, and sorry if already discussed before, but I’ve decided to carry a small plug in carbon monoxide detector with a battery backup when traveling. I know of two different incidents locally where a total of 6 people died in hotels due to leaking furnaces, pool heaters, etc. Last night, I saw a show on TV about 3 more similar hotel deaths in North Carolina too.

I travel often for work and am constantly staying in hotels. Anybody use one or have any recommendations? I found a First Alert plug-in with battery backup, but it looks a bit bulky…something smaller would be more practical, but not worth sacrificing its accuracy.
