Carry multi tool as primary edc knife?

I’m sure this has been asked before. I’m just looking to get some opinions. I’ve been wanting to get a new leatherman for a little while now. I was looking at getting the rebar, but I’m also interested in the wave. Was wondering if anyone was carrying a multi tool as their primary edc knife. I think the wave having the knife on the outside would be convenient enough to have the multi tool replace my knife. I’m hesitant to spend the extra money if I won’t carry it. I know that it’s subjective, but your knowledge on the subject is apreciated.
