So i could no longer resist and pulled the trigger on that imcolike colton lighter,i showed you in this tread http://edcforums.com/threads/show-your-edc-lighters.75745/page-87#post-2516124
I found it for 10Euro in a lokal knifeshop (could have it for the same price online, but i like support the brick and mortar stores…nostalgia, you know)

Comparisonshot with a smaller vintage Imco Junior(left) and a Imco Triplex Super (right). The Imcos have a warmer color, while the colton is more cold metalcolored. With its 60g,compared to the 35g of the Imco Triplex Super and 30g of the Junior, the Colton is quite heavy.

In the inside,it is, unlike its original cousin, build from a chromplated redish brassmaterial, not from folded, nickelplated tin.

See the notch on the bottom? It holds the fueltank in its place

The tank has also a notch, make it only fits in a certain way in the lighter:

The bottom of the fueltank made from the same brassmaterial like the rest, but the upper part is light aluminum, that makes it feel slightly cheap:

The wick is woven with copper wire, like the zippowicks, nice:

Inside the tank, its not filled with cotton balls but with a stiff fleeslike material:

    That’s where the flint goes

Removing the Cooper ring, that surrounds the flinthole, you can dismantle the mechanics:

My overall impression about this lighter is, that its well made for the price. Solid build. However i will not make a final judgement, because i have concerns about this gap between the fueltank and the lid.Its makes me worry about loosing petrol.

So i’ll fill it up and let i rest a week or two, to check how much fuel left.
