Ok so.. I have a Seiko SKX007, which I love, its my daily.
Now I’m a sailing coach and director so some days I have to ride the desk and be slightly more polished, and and the end of the day I have to coach a lesson. Some days I even have to climb in a boat. I love mechanicals and such, waaay more than a digital. I’m looking for a chrono to time the start of our races, when I’m not wearing my digital. Our starts are 3 or 5 minutes.
I like the idea of the Seiko SSC015p1. I love Seiko divers, I love the black. The Rolex -esq. Those are design ideas and hints I’m looking for. And not breaking the bank as it will be abused and worked hard.
The problem, oddly, with this particular seiko is the screw down crowns for the chrono. I will be on the water, where I’ll be operating it. And I can’t guarantee that I won’t get it wet. Which would ruin the watch.
So any other ideas out there?
