The LEO vehicle I mentioned in my OP was a Ford Crown Victoria with a 4.6 Liter V-8, the engine turned over without hesitation.

I was looking at some of these a while back. I didn’t purchase one due to mixed reviews on whether or not it would work for my truck.

I drive a 2003 Toyota Tundra 4×4 with a V8 engine. Does anybody have any experience using these devices with similar vehicles?

I also have a V8 1st Gen Tundra 4×4 and would not count on the tiny Lithium powered packs to jump mine, yes I have tried and it is a mixed result.
I have used the larger SLA jump packs though for years and all work just fine.
I also use the packs to Air back Up after airing down for soft road wheeling with a small compressor and they work well for that too.

Yeah the one in my s10 is lead acid. The smaller ones don’t have enough punch to turn over the 383 v8 in it. Unless fully charged the big one struggles.

    factory 1987 s10 blazer 2.8 auto ifs 4×4

Now 383, 700r4, 700r4, SAS dana 60s sitting on some tiny 33s (had 35s). I do go play in the mud with it but not as often. Since I’m now on disability budget I can’t afford the broken parts bill like I used to. As soon and the new diesel colorados start showing up in the junkyards cheap I’m going back to a 2.8 (duramax).

Got a 91 sanoma 2wd that we are putting a 4.8 ls engine in for my son when he turns 16 (6 more years). It was a factory 2.8 5 speed but I put a hopped up 3.4. It blow the doors off guys with 4.3s and still got 26 mpg. That was my daily driver when I worked.

I’ve had a number of them over the years mostly drag trucks or lowered on airbags. I built my first one (327 chevy luv) when I was 14 out of spare/used parts from my dad’s chevelle he used to have. That one was planned on being street legal but by the time I was 16 it tubed track only.
