Looking to see how people are organizing their edc bags. The last 2 bags I’ve bought ( 511 tactical AMP 24 and a first strike 3 day Assault pack) and both have a felt like material inside the pack that lets you Velcro pouches to your preferences.
What pouches or organizing is everybody using to organize their stuff in these situations. I e gotten in the habit of attempting to secure everything in my bags so that if I need to grab and go, specially when my back pack is open ( specially my med bag) nothing will fall out as I’m sneaking cover

show me some pics or post links to how you’ve organized yourself. ( I will bring the first strike tactical bag home from work to post pictures tomorrow

I was in a mode where I wanted to be able to switch bags as my mood suited me, so I would keep gear in this bag organizer that I got from Chrome Industries. I’ve since moved to a smaller sling with much more and better organization, so I don’t use it unless I decide to swap back to one of my bigger bags.

Over the years as my preferences and bags have changed, my organizational methods have as well.

This is my most recent: Hill People Gear Tarahumara with their Tarainsert, 58 Velcro pouch, medium gp pouch molle’d in, and Helikon Tex Velcro pouch as my ifak.

In the Tom Bihn Synik I went with their Freudian Slip and various pouches depending on load out. I’ve used the Freudian slip in many other bags as it is a killer quick grab org option. Seen here also is a sticky pouch from Vanquest.

Here’s the GoRuck Bullet with the Freudian slip. One of my favorite setups to date.

In the Vertx years, Modular pouchage was the way. Due to it not being clam shell, things nicely stacked in place.

In my Recycled Firefighter bags I’ve used both his Velcro and molle inserts with various pouches accordingly.

In general, Vanquest has some awesome sticky options. So does Helikon Tex. More and more manufacturers are starting to offer Velcro backed options. Was recently turned on to a cottage vendor called Pocket Up. I’ve even seen some interesting stuff on Etsy as well. Blue ridge overland gear has some cool Velcro pouches too.

My favorite thing about bags is finding a way to solve my organizational challenges to maintain the system I want. What a time to be alive lol.

I use a 3V Gear Outlaw sling. Really the only organization I’ve done is placed all my charging gear into a pouch I found in a Goodwill bin. I have a first aid and a trauma kit (the red and the small MOLLE pouch respectively). I also have an old 3 magazine holder that I use in the “secret squirrel” pocket on the back for my extra tools.

For things that I swap from bag to bag I will use either zippered pencil pouches or a pencil box. They are cheap, easy to find, and I can sort things by the color.
No rhyme or reason but I use a red bag for first aid, yellow bag for my cell phone, a blue box for my lunch/eating stuff.
