I have to figure that I am not the only ham on a board like this .
I got my tech ham license less than a year ago and have enjoyed the hobby so far. After getting the license I grabbed up two different rigs. My mobile out in the car is an ICOM 2350. Nice dual band rig with crossband repeat.
The handheld that I have on my edc bag is a Baofeng UV-3R. This little 2watt cheapy has done a great job for the price and size. It will transmit and receive out of band, which is convenient, and fits in a molle strobe pouch right on my laptop bag.
