As I said in my introduction post, I’m terminally cheap. I thought I’d share an example of this fact with you all, and maybe it will help save you some money and be useful at the same time.
I carry my pocket pistol in a homemade pocket holster I made out of an old mousepad. I folded it in half with the slippery fabric surface on the inside; rubber grippy bottom surface on the outside. Put in your unloaded pistol and mark for stitching. Take some heavy duty thread (I used the stuff that came with a handy-stitcher) and sew a line along the underside of the barrel, around the trigger guard, and up to the grip, as far as you like. Then, trim to fit for good coverage yet still allowing a good grip on the gun. It cost me next to nothing. It really breaks up the outline of the gun – looks like a wallet in my front pocket. And it never comes out of my pocket with the gun – very grippy!
