Eneloop Packaging Question

I have Eneloops that look like both – newest that I purchased a few weeks ago have the orange symbol. All of my older ones (from 2014 and back) look like the others. No big deal. Eneloops used to be made by Sanyo, now are Panasonic (I think) so some variation in packaging and labeling isn’t cause for concern.

The last AA and AAA eneloops I received were labelled as Water-Rat described. Trashcan on the AA’s, and recycle symbol on the AAA’s. They all came in factory packaging from that “River” place.

Just a little update…I received my order of 12 more eneloop batteries today (one 8 pack, and one 4 pack with Advanced charger). As expected above all 12 batteries came in regular packaging and are marked with the orange recycle symbol.
